    A Pow Wow, in Queens? Ten Amazing Images

     On July 26 in Glen Oaks, Queens, New York, The Queens County Farm Museum played host for three days to the the 36th Annual Thunderbird American Indian Mid-Summer Pow Wow. Taking place in the museum’s apple orchard, groups from more than 40 Native American nations took part. The 47-acre farm dates back to 1697 and is the longest continuously farmed site in New York State. It includes historic buildings, a greenhouse complex, livestock, planting fields, an herb garden and a vineyard.
