    Hopi Symbol of Life, Connection and Renewal


    After writing the piece on Walking A Labyrinth, I thought it would be a good idea to delve a little deeper into the origins of the labyrinth from an Native North American perspective. Specifically, I’d like to discuss the Tapuat, a Hopi symbol that embodies the philosophy of the labyrinth in a very powerful way.

    14. knucklestuff said: Uhh, I feel obliged to let you know that the picture is not a Tapuat, it’s the Man in the Maze, symbol of the the O’odham tribes in Arizona. I mean both symbols are similar in their meaning but they belong to 2 different people.
