Chumash Tribe informs county of plans to expand gaming facility
The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians in California plans to expand its gaming facility.
The Chumash Casino Resort opened in 2004. The tribe says an expansion is long overdue.
“While we were trying to address the concerns of the community, we did ourselves a disservice by building a hotel much smaller than the market dictated,” Chairman Vincent Armenta said in a letter to the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors, The Lompoc Record reported.
