Navajo Tech Baking Students Whip Up Wedding Cakes for Fall Finals
For advanced baking students at Navajo Technical University, fall finals involve busting it in the kitchen to make and design four-tier wedding cakes.
On Thursday, December 5 at 2 p.m., the students will be sampling the community on their white-frosted, four-deck desserts in the Hospitality Building of the University’s Crownpoint campus. The wedding cake event is free and open to the public and will feature 12 to 15 wedding cakes that community members will judge. Participants will vote on the cakes, ranking them in categroies of best-looking and best-tasting.
